Howard mourns death of legendary basketball coach AB Williamson

Legendary Howard College males’s basketball coach AB Williamson, who led this system to a number of MEAC championships and was the college’s winningest coach, has died.

Williamson first assumed command of the Bison basketball program in 1975. He remained on the helm for the subsequent 15 seasons, successful back-to-back MEAC Match titles in 1980 and 1981. The 1981 membership was the primary from the MEAC to make the NCAA match.

Williamson was named MEAC Coach of the Yr on three events (1980, 1983, 1987) and stays Howard’s winningest coach, compiling a 228-169 document.

Present Howard males’s basketball coach Kenneth Blakeney issued a heartfelt assertion on Williamson’s dying.
