Son of R&B singers graduates from HBCU

Okay.J. Lattimore, son of R&B stars Kenny Lattimore and Chanté Moore, is now a proud faculty graduate. On Might 4, he earned his Bachelor’s diploma in Enterprise from Lincoln College of Pennsylvania, the nation’s first degree-granting HBCU.

A Household Overflowing with Delight

Kenny Lattimore shared this message on Fb:

“He did it! From a 17-year-old KJ visiting Lincoln’s campus to a 22-year-old strolling away able to tackle the world… Thanks for pouring into him in your personal particular means.”

Chanté Moore additionally posted a robust tribute to her son:

“I can’t cease crying tears of pleasure… ? I’m so pleased with YOU KJ!!! You probably did it child! Mommy is elated and SO EXCITED about your NEXT accomplishment!!! You ARE ALREADY AMAZING… INCREDIBLE… and EXCEPTIONAL!!! I exhale… and smile from ear to ear!”

Their son, Okay.J., additionally shared his ideas about his HBCU commencement on Instagram:

“On this life you should evolve… I’m now a graduate from The First HBCU ?. There’s nonetheless rather more evolution to come back. Once they doubted and thought I would fall, I stay blessed and thank God by all of it… on Might 4th, as one journey ended, my latest journey started.”

An HBCU Legacy of Excellence

Lincoln College, based in 1854, has produced alumni like Thurgood Marshall and Langston Hughes. Okay.J. now joins that legacy.

His father, Kenny Lattimore, is thought for hits like “For You”, “By no means Too Busy”, and “Love Me Again.” He has launched over 10 studio albums and stays a prime performer.

His mom, Chanté Moore, is a Grammy-nominated singer with hits like “Chanté’s Bought a Man”, “Love’s Taken Over”, and “Straight Up.” Her voice helped form Nineteen Nineties R&B.

Celebration in D.C.

The Lattimore household gathered at Kata restaurant in Washington, D.C. to rejoice. The night time was crammed with love, pleasure, and satisfaction.
