As the beginning of the 2025 HBCU soccer season inches nearer, Johnson C. Smith continues to have an unbelievable offseason.
The Golden Bulls have added former Miles All-SIAC defensive again Cam Williams.
Williams is the third former All-SIAC choice Johnson C. Smith has added this offseason, becoming a member of former Fort Valley State quarterback Kelvin Durham and Clark Atlanta large receiver Armone Harris.
The 2024 season was a breakout yr for the previous Golden Bears defender, being named to the All-SIAC Second Staff.
In his sophomore season, Williams recorded 20 tackles, three interceptions, and 14 passes defended (tied for many within the SIAC).
He saved his greatest efficiency for the postseason, snagging two interceptions in Miles’ SIAC championship win over Clark Atlanta.

Johnson C. Smith enters the 2025 season because the overwhelming favourite to win the convention, seeking to shake off a disappointing finish to its 2024 marketing campaign.
Regardless of ending with an 8-2 general report, the Golden Bulls’ ultimate two losses eradicated them from CIAA championship rivalry and a possible berth within the NCAA Division II Soccer Championship match.
In what will probably be head coach Maurice Flowers’ fourth season with Johnson C. Smith, the group is in search of its first convention championship since 1969.
