For the second time in eight days, the Southwestern Athletic Convention has defeated a Southeastern Convention staff in baseball.
Tuesday night time, it was Alabama State who edged Auburn 3-2 because of solo residence runs by Ali LaPread and Randy Flores. The Hornets’ stunner at Auburn follows Southern’s 12-7 win over defending School World Sequence champion LSU on April 1.

ASU (14-16) trailed 1-0 going into the highest of the seventh inning when LaPread, a senior outfielder, took Zach Crotchfelt deep to tie the rating. The rating remained tied at 1 within the eighth when Flores, who showcased his abilities finally summer season’s HBCU Swingman Traditional in Seattle, touched Crotchfelt for one more homer for the go-ahead run.
