Following a profitable 2024 season that noticed her be named the MEAC Newcomer of the Yr, Morgan State ahead Naya Ojukwu is heading to the ACC to play for the College of California, Berkeley.
Ojukwu transferred to Morgan State after one-year stints on the College of Utah and Gonzaga, respectively.
She averaged 17.1 factors, 9.0 rebounds, 1.4 blocks, and 1.2 steals in 15 video games (she missed the primary two months of the season) and was named to the All-MEAC Second Crew.
Although the Bears fell quick to Maryland-Jap Shore within the first spherical of the MEAC event, Ojukwu had a formidable efficiency.
She completed with a game-high 26 factors on 50% capturing, eight rebounds, and three blocks.
Ojukwu helped lead the Bears to an improved 13-17 total report and a 6-8 convention report over their earlier mark (8-22 total and 3-11 convention in 2024).
She joins a College of California staff that former veteran WNBA guard Charmin Smith coaches.
