The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Affiliation unveiled the 2024 All-CIAA preseason workforce with little shock within the rankings.
The 2024 workforce options 23 returning gamers from the 2023 All-CIAA workforce, together with 18 first-teamers. It’s led by the CIAA’s main rusher, Jada Byers of Virginia Union, and the CIAA’s Offensive Participant of the 12 months, Isaiah Freeman of Lincoln (Pa.).
Byers led the convention in dashing with 1,186 yards on 205 carries and accounted for a league-high 16 touchdowns. The New Jersey native led the Panthers with 118.6 yards per recreation and 5.7 per carry.
Freeman was the convention’s prime passer final season with 2,312 passing yards, finishing 150 of 262 passes that included 25 touchdowns. Freeman ranked second on the workforce with 497 dashing yards on 115 carries.
Virginia State and Virginia Union have been chosen by league coaches to complete first and second, respectively, within the convention’s new, no-divisional format. The 2024 CIAA Soccer Championship Sport is slated for Nov. 16 in Salem, Virginia.
Final 12 months, Virginia Union claimed their first CIAA title in 22 years with a 21-10 win over Fayetteville State College.
