Joey Bada$$ and Ray Vaughn buying and selling pictures has kicked off a bicoastal rap battle that a number of rappers are getting concerned in.
Bicoastal Beef Breaks Out
Issues kicked off on the high of the 12 months when Joey put out the tune “The Ruler’s Again.” On the monitor, the Brooklyn MC takes a shot on the West Coast seemingly for overhyping Kendrick Lamar’s vanquishing of Drake of their rap battle in 2024.
“An excessive amount of West Coast d*ck-licking/I am listening to ni**as throw pictures, actually ain’t sh*t sticking,” he raps. “’Trigger if we speaking bar for bar, actually it is slim pickings/I rap like a draw pentagram and kill chickens.”
The reference to the Left Coast riled up a few of Joey’s Cali rap friends. Daylyt clapped again lower than per week in a while the tune “HIYU.”
“Credit score line to the max, we overstackin’, although/STEEZ on my arm, we got here for capital,” Day rhymes, referencing Joey’s late comrade Capital Steez. “I stomp on crowns, I get up cities/You realize my title, boy, I break up clouds, I clear smoke globally/I am from the period the place the scary ni**as sit again/However this rap, so who controlling me?”
A day later, TDE’s Ray Vaughn inserted himself within the combine with the tune “Crashout Heritage” and made himself Joey’s largest goal.
“What’s with the sneak dissin? Takin’ pictures at us, then conceal the Uzi/‘Trigger the one bada*s the world was recognizin’ is Boosie,” Ray spits.
Joey and Ray have since traded extra songs as issues have heated up. They don’t seem to be the one ones. The pictures lofted throughout coasts have led to a battle royale, with rappers like AZ Chike, CJ Fly and Purpose leaping within the ring to squabble up.
