The Board of Trustees of State Establishments of Larger Studying named Dr. Tracy M. Prepare dinner the twenty-first president of Alcorn State College in Mississippi. He has served as interim president for the previous eight months.
Alcorn State College is a traditionally Black academic establishment that enrolls about 2,500 undergraduate and 500 graduate college students. Some 95 % of the undergraduate scholar physique identifies as Black or African American.
The appointment comes practically a 12 months after the Board of Trustees introduced the departure of Alcorn State’s twentieth and first lady President, Dr. Felecia Nave, who had served since 2019.
