New FAMU athletic director Angela Suggs turned herself into the Leon County jail Monday to face fees of fraud and larceny, based on a report by Tallahassee tv station WCTV.
A Leon County Sheriff’s Workplace spokesperson advised the station that Suggs faces warrants for alleged fraud and larceny following a Florida Division of Regulation Enforcement investigation.
Suggs was named athletic director final September. Suggs’ earlier place was president and CEO of the Florida Sports activities Basis. Throughout her seven-year tenure, the inspiration secured two Tremendous Bowls (2020 and 2021) and a present three-year run of Professional Bowl video games (2023, 2024, and 2025).

Interim FAMU President Timothy Beard advised the Tallahassee Democrat in a press release that he was “conscious of the allegations involving our athletics director, Angela Suggs, whereas she was working with a former employer.
