A girl says she was left burned and traumatized after being assaulted with sizzling hen by a Popeyes supervisor throughout a dispute over her order.
Shena Decuir informed KLFY that she had positioned her order by way of the Popeyes cellular app at a location on Johnston Road in Lafayette. When she realized her order was unsuitable, she requested the supervisor for a refund or a correction. However as an alternative of resolving the difficulty, issues took a violent flip.

How the Incident Occurred
Decuir says the confrontation occurred close to closing time, when the supervisor appeared annoyed and agitated. She defined that whereas asking for a refund, the supervisor demanded the meals again however refused to offer a receipt.
That’s when, in response to Decuir, the supervisor threw sizzling hen at her, leaving her with burns on her neck, chest, arms, legs, and ft. Police and EMTs have been referred to as to the scene, and Decuir was handled for her accidents. The supervisor has since been arrested and charged with easy battery, authorities confirmed.
Sufferer Speaks Out
Decuir, who’s disabled from a earlier extreme incident, says she felt focused and helpless throughout the assault.
“I’m glad it occurred on digital camera as a result of it’s him being a supervisor and figuring out they’ve cameras and you continue to did that. What would occur if there wouldn’t have been cameras? And I’m helpless. I used to be on my own. It’s unacceptable,” she informed KLFY.
She added that whereas she is grateful for police motion, she remains to be shaken by the assault.
