Mo Williams is within the course of of creating his mark as an HBCU males’s basketball coach, and now the Jackson native can add corridor of famer to his checklist of achievements.
Williams, a 13-year NBA vet who led Jackson State to the SWAC championship recreation this previous March, is part of the 2025 class of the Mississippi Sports activities Corridor of Fame, with the ceremony set for Saturday Aug. 2.
Williams was a standout athlete at Murrah Excessive College earlier than attending the College of Alabama. He went on to play 13 seasons with the Utah Jazz, Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Clippers, Portland Path Blazers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Charlotte Hornets and Cleveland Cavaliers, the place he was an NBA All-Star in 2009 and closed his profession out with an NBA title in 2016
