Regardless of being the award’s solely HBCU finalist, Norfolk State guard Brian Moore Jr. turns into the second HBCU participant to take it residence, becoming a member of fellow Norfolk State alum Kyle O’Quinn.

In his first season at Norfolk State, transferring to the group after taking part in the previous two years at Murray State, Moore helped lead the Spartans to their second straight MEAC common season title.
He averaged 19.0 factors (second within the MEAC), 3.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.3 steals in 31 common season video games, being named to the All-MEAC First Group.
The Spartans’ guard then went on to win the MVP of the MEAC match after main the group to their first convention match championship since 2022.
Within the championship recreation, Moore completed with 15 factors, seven rebounds, 4 assists, and two steals.
