Jackson State and Morgan State have earned journeys to the NCAA Division I softball match, and on Sunday, they came upon which applications they’ll be going through.
The Tigers, Southwestern Athletic Convention champions, will face No. 9 seed and Southeastern Convention semifinalist LSU within the Baton Rouge Area. Jackson State defeated Florida A&M 3-1 in Friday’s championship sport. to assert their first SWAC title since 2011.
The Bears, who needed to win 4 video games in two days to win the Mid-Jap Athletic Convention championship, will face No. 10 seed and Atlantic Coast Convention champion Duke.
Morgan State rallied from the loser’s bracket to remove Maryland-Jap Shore, South Carolina State, and North Carolina Central.
The Bears then swept crosstown rival Coppin State 5-1 and 6-0 on Saturday to safe their first convention title since 2021.
The NCAA softball match includes 64 groups (32 convention champions and 32 at-large bids) divided into 16 areas. The highest 16 seeds host a regional, which is a double-elimination bracket. The winner of every area strikes on to the Tremendous Regionals.

After eight groups are left, the Girls’s School World Sequence happens on the USA Softball Corridor of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma Metropolis, Oklahoma.
